In amongst all the DIY work at the weekend, we made time to take the dogs out for a play in the snow. It started on Saturday night and within an hour there was a couple of inches, and I fully expected it to be thick on the ground on Sunday morning, but the temperature had risen and by the time we went for our walk mid-afternoon there wasn’t a huge amount left. Still plenty for the dogs to enjoy and for a couple of pretty pictures of the village, especially when the sun came out briefly.
This converted mill is now an architects, it is such a beautiful building. I love the calm of the mill pond, at least when it isn’t frozen anyway.
These ponies all seemed pretty happy with their cosy rugs and piles of hay, but my fingers were too cold even to take pictures properly so I felt quite sorry for them. We were certainly pleased to get back into the warm and sit in front of the fire with a cuppa.
Pug power! Toto absolutely loves the snow – she spent half her time careering around like a madwoman, and the rest face down in the snow trying to eat it, or bury it, I couldn’t tell which!
Billy loves it too…for some reason he seems to think grass tastes better with a sprinkling of the white stuff.
My handsome fiancΓ©, who hates being told to pose, and will no doubt hate me publishing this photo of him even more – sorry my darling!
And here’s another – look how rosy-cheeked I am!
Ste tried to build a little snowman, but Billy had other ideas, and demolished it pretty efficiently. You can see the video on my Instagram here, but this still from it is too hilarious for words! Such a handsome dog, my boy!
Sweet! There’s nothing better than a dog in the snow!
Ha ha, it’s true! Except maybe a cat in the snow – they make me laugh too!
